As an Engineering Development Partner we have been backbone contributors to modeling and simulation, prototyping and system installations for customers ranging from the Defense Services to Homeland Security (i.e., NORAD Tracking, Facial, Speech and Pattern Recognition). - Solidus has broad Software Engineering expertise including modeling & simulation in support of radar detection, missile defense, strategic air warfare, hardware design; smart phone apps for First Responders; GUI development for prototype devices; software libraries in support of massively parallel processing systems; encryptors; SOA sidecar network adapters. Typical projects include rapid prototyping to full-blown project lifecycle development. Our technical skills run the gamut: operating systems like Windows, Linux and Unix; programming languages ranging across shell scripting, object-oriented, to real-time; development environments (IDEs); databases; configuration management systems. We are equally at home in both the proprietary and open-source realms.
- Solidus' systems engineering expertise includes: communication systems, including tactical data links, airborne, mobile platform and satellite comms; sensor systems, including shipboard, airborne and ground-based as well as passive surveillance; and weapons systems such as missile defense. Our engineers have leadership roles in the integration of a Mission Planning "systems of systems" and our experience extends to real-time signal processing, distributed and cluster architectures, and performance analysis and tuning.
- Our employees include physicists, mathematicians and biological scientists with expertise in speech intelligence and forensic systems, the development of language-learning tools using speech recognition for pedagogical feedback and developing a software framework for face recognition algorithm development, experimentation and training. We have extensive experience in the analysis of high power, high resolution imaging quality radar metric and signature data and along with the upgrade, testing, and validation of the infrared and visual sensors, to include the formulation and implementation of an algorithm to fuse information received from multiple optical sensors.
