PAID TIME OFF

Solidus encourages its employees to enjoy life with their friends and family.

Solidus believes our employees can manage thier time off rather than dictating a number of sick days, vacation days, holidays, etc. We provided Paid Time Off (PTO), which includes holidays, vacation, and sick time. The amout of PTO available to each employee is based on an individual’s years of industry experience (not just experience with Solidus.) All holidays are considered "floating holidays" to be taken in conjunction with the client-company’s holidays. PTO is accrued for every hour paid including regular hours, PTO, and "client authorized" overtime hours.

Paid Time Off is provided at the following levels:

  • 0 - 9 years industry experience accrues approximately 25 days PTO annually
  • 10 - 19 years industry experience accrues approximately 30 days PTO annually
  • 20+ years industry experience accrues approximately 35 days PTO annually

PTO in excess of 25 days may be cashed in at the employee’s regular rate of pay. No more than 70 days of PTO may be accrued.

If a client-company has site closings - such as snow days, or other unforeseen situations, arrangements must be made with one’s Group Manager or Project Leader, to make the time up. An employee may also use accrued PTO, if preferred.

RETIREMENT FUND

A 401(k) retirement plan is available to all employees to which Solidus contributes. The terms and conditions are defined in the "401k" Employee Enrollment Kit, and may be amended from time to time. The maximum deferral for 2006 is $15k. The maximum deferral for 2006, for participants over 50, is $20k.

OVERTIME

Overtime (OT) - OT must be authorized in writing by the client prior to the hours being worked. If authorized and billable, then those hours billed in a contract year in excess of standard yearly hours (2080 hours, less PTO), will be paid on a straight time basis.

HEALTH INSURANCE

Harvard Pilgrim Health is available to all employees, at no monthly cost to the employee. Individuals may wish to go online to find their doctor’s affiliation with Harvard Pilgrim..

Employees may elect to have Vision Care and Dental Care. There is a nominal cost to the employee —a percentage of the premium.

LIFE INSURANCE AND AD&D

The basic Life/AD&D Insurance benefit is one time the employee’s annual salary with a maximum benefit of $150,000.00. At no time will the total benefit exceed an employee’s annual salary. Full time employment is required.

LONG TERM AND SHORT TERM DISABILITY

Short Term Disability Insurance is provided at 60% of ones weekly salary, with a maximum weekly benefit of $1,250.00. Long Term Disability has a 90 day Elimination Period after which benefits are provided at 60% of ones weekly salary with a maximum benefit of $6,000.00 monthly.
