AFMSTT consists of a suite of modeling and simulation
(M&S) tools that deliver a highly advanced training and experimentation
environment for air operations. AFM&STT and its components comprise
a theater-level wargaming model used in Air Force and Joint training
events, Simulation Based Acquisitions, and C2 Enterprise Integration
Facility initiatives. Specifically, the suite of tools primarily consists
of the following:
- AWSIM2 – Air Warfare Simulation v2 (AWSIM2) is
an interactive time-stepped or discrete simulation of a theater air
warfare environment.
- ATI - AWSIM2-to-Theater Battle Management Core System
(TBMCS)- Interface (ATI) plans, parses and injects Air Tasking Orders
(ATOs) from the TBMCS into AWSIM.
- LOGSIM - Logistics Simulation (LOGSIM) is a computer
model that enhances logistics training in computer-assisted exercises.
